Rewoven Thread Counselling

Our services.

  • Brief Check-Ins Between Sessions

Rewoven Thread Counselling offers brief text check-ins between sessions for existing clients who may need a little extra support or reflection space during the week. These check-ins are designed for encouragement, clarity, or accountability not as a replacement for full counselling sessions.

Quick responses, reminders, or brief one-off messages from my end are included as part of your ongoing care at no cost. However, if a check-in involves extended back-and-forth conversation, a small fee applies based on time and depth of support:

Brief text support: complimentary (simple reminders or short clarifications)

Extended text exchange: $40 per check-in (for more detailed or ongoing message support)

This ensures that your needs are supported ethically and that time and care are provided thoughtfully between sessions.

  • Adolescent Sessions

Adolescence can be a time of change, growth, and challenge. Counselling offers young people a safe and non-judgmental space to explore their emotions, build confidence, and develop healthy coping strategies. Sessions are tailored to meet each young person’s individual needs, focusing on areas such as self-esteem, anxiety, relationships, and emotional regulation. For clients aged 12-18, parental consent is required, and confidentiality is maintained in line with ethical guidelines to ensure safety and trust.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) & Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps clients develop psychological flexibility — learning to make room for uncomfortable emotions while moving toward what truly matters. Sessions often include mindfulness exercises, values exploration, and gentle acceptance work to help you create a life aligned with your goals and values. This approach supports clients in managing anxiety, low mood, and self-doubt while fostering self-compassion and growth.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is grounded in the belief that emotions are central to healing and change. In session, we explore the deeper meanings behind emotional reactions, helping you better understand what your feelings are trying to tell you. By increasing emotional awareness and developing tools for regulation, EFT can help you navigate challenges, improve relationships, and feel more connected to yourself and others.

  • Narrative Therapy & Trauma informed Approaches

Narrative Therapy focuses on the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what we’ve experienced. This approach invites you to separate yourself from your problems, uncover hidden strengths, and re-author your story in a way that empowers you. Together, we explore how past experiences have shaped your sense of self and identify new ways to move forward with clarity, hope, and meaning.

A trauma-informed approach recognises that past experiences can shape how we respond to the world around us. Sessions are guided by safety, trust, and compassion allowing you to share at your own pace. Rather than focusing solely on the trauma itself, we explore how these experiences have influenced your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. This approach gently supports awareness, grounding, and empowerment, helping you move toward healing in a way that feels safe and respectful.
